.The Past.
Long ago, the four clans, Thunderclan, Riverclan, Windclan, and Shadowclan, lived in peace after the fall of Bloodclan. But little did they know, Bloodclan hadn't fallen. The survivors gathered in their old home, at a loss for what to do. Then, two brothers emerged, and fought for leadership. The remains of Bloodclan split into Frostclan, lead by Sleetfall, and Blazeclan, lead by Blazebrush.
Frostclan and Blazeclan fought each other so much that they had no time to fight the clans. Eventually, Sleetfall and Blazebrush fell. The new leader, Ironfang, nursed the clan into what it had been.
But meanwhile, in the clans, five cats emerged, one for Thunderclan, Windclan, Riverclan, Shadowclan, and one for the Rouges. The clans had seen talented cats, but these were different. They were gifted with powers that were beyond everyone's wildest dreams.
The powers of these cats got to the heads of the leaders. Soon, clans began to battle among themselves. The gifted fled, seeking help from a distant clan, while a traitor among the clans turned to what other power could be gained.
This traitor cat went to Ironclan, the remains of Frostclan and Blazeclan. He convinced them to attack the feuding clans. He told them of the power they could have. Soon enough, the forest clans no longer fought each other, but the mighty wrath of Ironclan.
But they were not alone. The gifted had returned, bringing the distant clan of Moonclan with them. The clans now believed themselves saved. They now knew that the gifted had been sent to protect them, not serve as weapons. With the power of Moonclan, they would surely win.
They were wrong.
Ironclan killed almost all the clans, leaving only about a clan's worth alive. They seized power, creating an empire of blood, with the traitor cat, Tigerclaw, as the emperor. The remaining clan cats were permitted to survive, but to act as slaves, as soldiers, as entertainment. Gone were the noble ways of the warrior, gone were the ways of Starclan. The emperor worshiped Boneclan, a clan of the fallen traitors, killers, and cruel leaders.
And even many generations later, when the names of the gifted have been forgotten, and the tales of Firestar have been lost, the empire has never fallen. But even so, the clan cats have never lost hope.

.Part 1-The Warriors.
The story of how life once was had never been forgotten by those who called themselves "the Clan", those who were all that remained of the clans. They clung to the stories of cats with amazing abilities, of a time when the Rulers of the Empire fell to them, to the stories of cats who could start as nothing and become leaders. They held onto this, and the story of their fall. Soon enough, they wondered if there was anyone who could help them, or if maybe Moonclan still lived.
So they began to secretly train young cats, who they called "the Warriors", to sneak away from the empire, and find help in far-away lands. They picked kits from bloodlines said to be descended from the gifted, hoping they would inherit their ancestors' gifts. But alas, they were normal kits, normal cats, only different in their training.
We find ourselves in the midst of this. Cats are being picked to be the Warriors, and to venture beyond the borders of the empire. Slowly, the clan is reforming, making ranks to help them succeed in their task. And Starclan has finally begun to shine down onto the clan, giving hope.
But if the Rulers of the Empire find out, all hope will be lost...

.Part 1-The Clans of the Lake.
It was said that some cats, a clan's worth, had escaped the forest when the Clans fell. The Empire did all that they could to destroy this rumor, but nobody believed it anyways.
But it was true. A clan's worth of cats, lead by the gifted, fled from the battle. They sought new land to live on, land far away from Ironclan. To do that, they passed through the mountains. They were found, half-dead, by the Tribe of Rushing Water.
The forest cats told the Tribe of their troubles, but the Tribe could do no help. Instead, they promised to keep the existence of the survivors a secret, in case Ironclan ever came over the mountains.
With that, the forest cats continued on. They traveled until they found the lake. With no enemies, even the few and wounded forest cats could settle on this land. Soon enough, the clan cats created their own clan.
And seasons passed. The Clan grew and grew, and they finally decided to split. One half took the high, rolling moors, and the other took the forest just beside it. They vowed to forget the past, to forgive their actions, and never speak of the gifted or Ironclan again.
And so Stormclan and Tideclan have lived in their new home peacefully, the only threats to them being themselves. The secret of their past has been passed leader to leader, so as not to be forgotten, but never told to the clans. The Tribe of Rushing Water have not only forgotten their promise, but the very existence of the lake clans.
All is well. Or so they think.
